教材前言
厌氧发酵是一种多功能的生物技术，同时也是把生物质转变为能源的一种天然工序。该项技术已在城镇污水处理与大量的工业废弃物处理中沿用了100余年。厌氧发酵技术去除了大量的废气混合物并且大大减少了污泥中的病原菌。过去的25年，厌氧发酵技术已被广泛的开发和利用于工、农业废弃物的处理中。自该种厌氧发酵技术问世以来，因为它产生而非消耗能源，所以被视为可取的废物处理过程。此外，它也产生了大量的环境效益、生态效益以及经济效益。
Anaerobic digestion is a versatile biotechnology and a natural process that converts biomass to energy. This technology has been used for over 100 years to stabilize municipal sewage and a wide variety of industrial wastes. The anaerobic process removes a vast majority of the odorous compounds. It also significantly reduces the pathogens present in the slurry. Over the past 25 years, anaerobic digestion processes have been developed and applied to a wide array of industrial and agricultural wastes. It is the preferred waste treatment process since it produces, rather than consumes energy. It also provides a variety of benefits, environmental, ecologic and economical.
